In 1932, Amelia Earhart made history as the first woman to complete a solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean, inspiring many with her achievements and women’s rights advocacy. Valentina Tereshkova, born in Russia, became the first woman in space in 1963, a groundbreaking moment for gender equality. Jerrie Mock, in 1964, shattered gender stereotypes by solo circumnavigating the globe, covering 22,860 miles and visiting multiple countries.
